Respect towards people
BiosearLab staff and volunteers will strive to treat everyone in the company, and anyone who engages with the company, with respect and fairness. We are are all committed to overcome our inherent bias towards those that appear or act differently from ourselves. We will regularly review whether we are achieving this goal and we will welcome criticism from anyone stating that we could do better
Research Ethics
We will carry out research that we will deem to be in the common interest. We will request that our clients and/or ourselves have obtained ethical approval for any project that requires such approval.
Research Integrity
BiosearLab will provide research services following the principles of the Research Concordat for Research Integrity . We will ensure that the data we provide to clients will be obtained with appropriate technologies and will be fully open to analysis by our clients. We will also ask for reassurance from clients that they will not misuse the data we provide
Animal Use in research
While BiosearLab believes that the ethical use of animals in research is necessary, BiosearLab supports the principles of the 3Rs (Replacement Reduction Refinement) and is committed to focus on methodologies that do not use vertebrate species.
Protection of the Environment
The climate emergency is the most pressing challenge that humanity has to resolve. BiosearLab aims will strive to adopt technologies that minimise plastic waste and energy use. We would welcome to support projects focussed on tackling the climate emergency.
